Fire Risk Assessment Disclaimer

Clarifies the responsibilities of assessors using FireVault and the limits of the Platform's role in fire risk assessments.

1. Purpose

This disclaimer clarifies the respective responsibilities of fire risk assessors ("Assessors") and FireVault Ltd in relation to Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) conducted using the FireVault Platform.

2. Assessor Responsibilities

The Assessor completing an assessment remains solely responsible for:

  • Their professional judgement
  • Their competence and qualifications
  • Their assessment findings
  • Their recommendations
  • The accuracy and completeness of the assessment
  • Site-specific observations and conclusions

3. FireVault's Role

FireVault provides:

  • Digital tools to structure and record assessments
  • Storage of assessment data and evidence
  • Workflow management for assessment processes
  • Report generation tools

4. What FireVault Does Not Do

FireVault does not independently verify:

  • Site conditions
  • Assessment accuracy
  • Photographs and evidence uploaded
  • Information entered by Assessors
  • The competence or qualifications of Assessors
  • The suitability of assessment findings for any particular premises

5. Assessor Acknowledgement

By using the Platform to conduct FRAs, Assessors confirm that:

  • They are competent to carry out the assessment
  • They maintain appropriate qualifications and professional memberships
  • They maintain suitable professional indemnity insurance
  • They complete assessments independently using their own professional judgement
  • They accept responsibility for their professional decisions and findings
  • They will not rely on FireVault as a substitute for their own professional expertise

6. No Certification

FireVault does not certify, endorse, or warrant the work of any Assessor. An FRA produced using the Platform is the professional work product of the Assessor, not of FireVault.

7. Limitation of Liability

FireVault is not liable for:

  • The accuracy or completeness of any assessment
  • The professional decisions or recommendations of Assessors
  • Consequences arising from assessment findings
  • Any failure by an Assessor to identify hazards or risks
